A view from our Walchwil location looking south over the Lake of Zug towards Rigi mountain amoroso @ Gruebstrasse 3a, CH-6318 Walchwil (Switzerland)For more information about Walchwil: http://www.walchwil.ch (German only)
Driving from Arth (Canton Schwyz) Arth is to the south of Walchwil. Drive with the lake on your left-hand side. Dorfstrasse is the main street leading up through Walchwil village. Go past the church, round and under the railway underpass, straight on into Vorderbergstrasse. After one minute, turn left off Vorderbergstrasse into Gruebstrasse. This picture was taken before the house was built. But rest assured, we really are there and not camping in green fields!
Arth has a motorway exit on the E41 (southbound)
The motorway by-passes Zug and Küssnacht before the Arth exit. For information, it carries on thereafter to Schwyz, Brunnen and Flüelen, through the Gotthard Pass, on to the Canton of Ticino and to Italy (Como).
Walchwil is on the Lake of Zug in the Canton of Zug
The village is located to the south of Zurich and the town of Zug, to the east of the city of Lucerne and to the northwest of Schwyz.
Walchwil is in Central Switzerland
By car, Walchwil is 45-60 minutes from Zurich city centre, just over 1.5 hours from Basle or Berne, 3 hours from Lausanne and 3.5 hours from Geneva. Switzerland itself is to the south of Germany, west of Austria, east of France and north of Italy.
